About Primary Science and Mathematics

1. Virtual experiment

This experiment about the electricity which flow through the components in a electric complete circuit. It also show the bulb will brighter if add more battery  ( or increase voltage ) and the bulbs will will get dimmer if add more bulb.

3. Set the Question : ‘must do’, ‘should do’ and ‘could do’ questions

Must do : What do the long straight lines represent in a circuit diagram?

Should do : Draw the diagram to show the bulb does not light.

Could do : What happen to the bulb if you make the wire lengten?

Introduction to Gases, Liquid and Solid.

The experiment below is categorize of gases, liquid and solid.

The second experiment show how the liquid heat up and changes into vapour (gases) where the gases move upward and fill up all the empty spaces (two of the beakers). These movement of air equalized the amount of air to each of the beakers. The air move to the hole between the beakers. Then when we cool down the air vapour, it shows the beaker content equal amount of water.

The experiment show as liquid cool down ( freezing ) and change into solid. But if it heat up (evaporation ) it change into gases and return back to liquid when it cool down (condensation ).

Synopsis:

The story is about a seed name Sid, with Pip and Kim. Pip is a spider, while kim is caterpiller. They live together underground. As Pip and Kim Grew up they left their home to explore the world. Kim became a beautiful butterfly and Pip produce web and climb-up to see the world. When Sid live alone, he thought that he need to be grow up and explore the world too. It shows how Sid will growing up until he become a tree.

Topic : New bat species found in Ecuador

The bat was first discovered in 1979 in the forests of Ecuador

Scientists have discovered a tiny new species of bat in the western slopes of the Andes in northwestern Ecuador.

The first specimen of the species, which has been called Myotis diminutus, was collected more than 30 years ago.But the researchers have only now confirmed that the little creature, which weighs just a few grams, is a distinct species.
They published a detailed description of the bat in the journal Mammalian Biology.
There are more than 100 species of Myotis bat, six of which can be found in Ecuador.

The bat’s narrow skull helped the scientists distinguish it as a new species
But “diminutive Myotis”, as the researchers have called it, is the smallest of this group of species yet known in South America. The little brown bat weighs just 3.5g.
The scientists, based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Washington DC in the US, wrote in the journal: “As with many other newly described species, we know nothing about the natural history of this bat.”Unfortunately, the prospects for learning more about it are bleak.”This is because the moist forests of western Ecuador, where the bat was discovered, are under threat, primarily from deforestation for agricultural purposes.

The researchers say the area faces an “uncertain future”.The bat was found in a protected private reserve within the forest called the Río Palenque Scientific Center (RPSC).”Myotis diminutus is at least the fifth new species of mammal described from the area in recent decades,” the scientists wrote.
